With an API modeling endpoint, all of the mess needed to convince django that we were a website user is no longer necessary.

  • The log in work can be replaced with the simpler token api endpoint, which returns the personal ModelMW token in exchange for user/pw
  • Extra headers are not needed
  • session cookies are not needed
