Cannot directly download wpapi.zip when clicking download link #501

I am getting the following error

Mixed Content: The site at 'https://github.com/' was loaded over a secure connection, but the file 
at 'http://wp-api.org/node-wpapi/wpapi.zip' was loaded over an insecure connection. This file should 
be served over HTTPS. This download has been blocked. 
See https://blog.chromium.org/2020/02/protecting-users-from-insecure.html for more details.

Same error occurs on npmjs.com

Of course it works if I enter the correct https URL directly. But for some reason chrome thinks that the link in your readme.md is not https?!

I am using Chrome Version 97.0.4692.99
