Attribute D3bpo4, which is the network density of pedestrian-friendly intersections, defined as “the intersection density measured by the number of pedestrian-oriented intersections having four or more legs per square mile”, and found within input file bzone_network_design.csv, does not seem to affect VisionEval outputs. That is, changing D3bpo4 did not affect any of the 158 output variables such as number of household walking trips, average vehicle trip length, miles of travel on the freeway under various congestion levels, and transit trips. Values for D3bp04 ranged from below 1 (e.g., 0, 0.1, 0.3 and so on) to mostly between 1 and 99 (e.g., 8.1, 14.2, 31.9, 70.5 and so on) with a few values between 108 and 179. (We had a total of 712 Bzones with different values and sought to see how changing those values by multipliers of 1.5 or 2.0 could affect results.) (If you want more details, please let me know, or if you want to see supporting data, this was scenario 9 in the publication https://www.virginiadot.org/vtrc/main/online_reports/pdf/22-R21.pdf)
