Support for Globus file storage

Globus is a file-sharing platform that is increasingly adopted for sharing academic data sets. To distill it down: Globus mediates file transfers to and from buckets (called collections) that are hosted on distributed servers (called endpoints) that can be on institutions' own infrastructure. The centralized Globus service facilitates access control for users and applications.

It would be great if I could grant VIAME access to one of my collections and have it load data from there.
