Works fine on newer Android on emulator:

But on physical old Android 4.x the experience sucks.

Another report:

Huawei G7-L01
Android Version 4.4.4

If I'm typing a new message, I can't see the text because the keyboard is covering it and the text field doesn't move up as it should.

Keyboard overlay still hides message text area when writing messages on a Samsung Galaxy something with Android 10.
