Additional Context

While Kate is only available in nightly channel for now, KDE released their apps typically 3 times a year en-masse so it's shouldn't be long before native support drops to stable branch. I've tested Kate on my MBP and I can say it's already way more stable than previous Intel builds thru Rosetta 2 which crashes a lot for me.
