I'd like to see some integration or interaction of the Accessory/Refinement system that vampires use for Hunters. Hunters are very gear heavy, and so not being able to interact with a small part of the mod that focuses on gear is a little disappointing. I'd like for there to be some way for Hunters to interact with the accessories in the game, mostly to improve gameplay experience rather than any balance concerns. I've got around 3 different ideas.

  1. Give hunters their own accessories just like vampires.
This one is probably the obvious solution, just give them accessories that you obtain in the same way somebody gets vampire accessories. Some ideas for accessory ideas are Cross Necklaces, Silver Rings, and Garlic Belts, or garlic garlands. Besides the basic stat boost refinements, some ideas for Hunter unique refinements are: improving the effectiveness of Disguise, improving the damage of Holy Water, or increasing the health threshold that Stakes need to one-shot vampires. You would get them the same way you get vampire accessories, chests, and advanced hunters/vampires.

  2. Let hunters have unique craftable accessories.
This is an idea i've had which is a bit more in theme with Hunters. they have their own unique trinkets that add situational buffs and uses durability more similar tools and armor, that they need to craft. Since they can craft them and they consume durability when they are used, they could swap between them to give them some extra options. For example, you could have a cross necklace that uses durability to reduce Magic damage, or a Garlic Garland which consumes durability to reduce the duration of certain debuffs. When fighting a Baron for example, a hunter could choose to be protected against their magic bolts, or resist its Weakness debuff. Crafting them would likely be sort of straight forward, use the hunter crafting table. Some options to make them less accessible though would be to require a skill to craft them, or perhaps you would need an equivalent Vampire accessory to craft the Hunter version.

  3. Accessory Scrapping.
In lieu of the other two suggestions, or in addition to, there could be a way to "scrap" accessories. Some sort of way to destroy them in order to gain things like experience, gold, vampire drops, or rarely the vampire books, or perhaps some unique item or resource. There could be a way to craft multiple together in a crafting table for some gold, or a "scrapper" block that destroys them and outputs a random item. They could also be used to complete some new quests that the Representatives give. This would be useful to Vampires as well as Hunters, as they could scrap spare accessories which are no longer useful to them. If the other 2 aren't accepted, I hope at least some variant of this idea could be put into the mod.

Mod experience

For Balance, 1. is pretty obviously a direct buff for vampire hunters. If they require such a buff or not i'm not sure, as I mostly just use the mods with friends and not on a larger server.

For 2, depending on the affects of the accessories could be some minor buffs to hunters. The effects of the craftable trinkets could also be some quality of life buffs, such as an ammo belt that lets the hunter store quarrels, that won't affect balance in any major way.

Number 3 won't affect balance really but could be tuned to help characters progress a bit faster. I could see using a large amount of accessories for a vampire book, or just helping players get the large amount of gold thats needed for leveling.

In any case, any three of these ideas would help making getting accessories a little more engaging and fun for a hunter rather than just clutter they get sometimes.
