On MS Edge in (K)Ubuntu, allowing mic access causes the browser to immediately shut down completely. Re-opening and restoring pages causes an immediate shutdown/crash again

Expected Behavior

Shouldn't crash the browser

Current Behavior

As soon as mic access is allowed, it crashes the browser and it shuts down completely and immediately. Happens in incognito with no extensions enabled as well

Possible Solution

N/A

Steps to Reproduce (for bugs)

  1. Go to Annyang demo page
  2. Allow mic access
  3. Browser immediately shuts down

Context

i thought it was my implementation, but happens on official demo page as well

Your Environment

  • Version used: Latest
  • Browser name and version: MS Edge Latest
  • Operating system and version (desktop or mobile): Kubuntu 22.10
  • Link to your project: N/A?

Hi! Having working with the Web Speech API myself, it's a Linux+Edge issue, very out of scope of this project. I'd say you should close this.

UPDATE:
Looks like SpeechRecognition dies (badly) on Edge for Linux
