Indeed, we really need to update the tutorials !
The next SGDK will provide better resources support, i think that would be the 
right moment to update the tutorials as well ;)

I second this, I'm still using trial and error to figure out the basics of this package

Will this ever get looked at? I got as far as the sprites and couldn't get further, not sure where to go for support either

Definitely not the most motivating stuff to work on but yeah at somepoint i will rewrite the tutorial ;)
In the meantime it's better to look at included samples (as "sprite") or use this forum :
