I would like to use the new Skeleton tool for accepting altcoin donations on my website. Is it possible to customize the tool so that it is repurposed to allow users to send crypto donations?
If so, what would be the main things I will need to change or ass to the existing code.

@serjko Shapeshift skkeleton can be customised and 'To address' can be set to your Bitcoin or any other coin which you prefer. After this you'll be able to accept crypto donations from almost all supported coins on Shapeshift and get it in only one type of crypto you choose.
But recently Shapeshift has added additional conditions and restrictions for users to be able to transact. As per my knowledge, they are asking users to create an account on Shapeshift in order to transact.
But if you can somehow manage to get users to login, then you can configure the skeleton to do it.
I had set this up for a client before signup/login process was mandatory. But even with the login step, it can be done with the skeleton. Its just an addition to the existing steps. The codes are straight forward and will be easy to customise.
I appreciate your detailed answer. We will certainly give Skeleton a try and see if it is a good fit for our donation model. I believe Shapeshift introduced more rules for merchants who deploy their solutions to earn affiliate commissions but the crypto exchange process should be still pretty seamless for simple users.
