Pat's request:

I have what to do in the first day and first month pages. missing from the first month is a link for how to submit a job on greatlakes once you’ve logged in. I know ARC-TS has a lot of materials, but it would be great to have a “simple” tutorial on how to submit a batch job and an interactive job that would be appropriate for someone just joining the lab with minimal experience using an HPC. I need to replace flux with greatlakes, but it would potentially be a link off of http://www.schlosslab.org/lab_business/first_month.html

if someone could walk away doing three things i think that would be great:

  1. create an interactive job
  2. create a batch file using a generic template that we regularly use for a single node
  3. how to run and check on the batch file

Link to the maximal overview at the end for those who want more details. https://github.com/SchlossLab/Great_Lakes_SLURM

It's less of a tutorial and more of an overview of all the ways you can do with Great Lakes.
A more beginner-friendly tutorial is in progress (see #42).
