App flickering after first sign-in and unable to move

Describe the bug
After signing-in (login + password and click on button), the app starts flickering with changing white and black screen at a rapid pace, while only flashing the dialog for allowing notifications popup.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Try to log-in
2. Flickering

Expected behavior
it should let me into the app

Smartphone (please complete the following information):

• Device: Pixel 7a
• OS: GrapheneOS release 2024040900, but also previous one

Additional context

• App version: tried 1.6.12.sc77 and also 1.6.10.sc76
• Store: F-Droid
• Homeserver: matrix.org
• Logs: tried shaking, but doesn't do anything. can't really access them.

Upstream relevance
isn't relevant, it's only in schildi app
