Describe the bug
A friend of mine frequently uses voice messages to communicate. Sometimes he runs into the issue that voice messages just won't send and simply disappear.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Trigger voice message recording
  2. Record voice message
  3. Send
  4. It's just gone

Expected behavior
The voice message should be sent or at least not disappear after recording.

Smartphone (please complete the following information):

  • Samsung Galaxy S23+
  • Android 14
  • OneUI 6.0

Additional context

  • App version: 1.6.6.sc73
  • Store: Google Play
  • Homeserver: private

EDIT: Seems to be a known bug in Element: element-hq#8362
