[Show when saved] A way to tell what is saved?

Is there a way to tell what is causing a character to show?

i've set a few characters to "Show when saved", but they are always there. Week after week, reset after reset, they always show up; I log into them and logout, no activity but they still show up.

Wondering if I can tell what is causing them to appear under this option - would be nice to be able to use it instead of "Never show"

Edit: Well I found out that pending paragon chests were causing my toons to stay listed. After grabbing them, the toons no longer show up when "Show when saved"

It would nice if the 'pending saved' items were highlighted in a different color or something
