Tune the preferences for those geostationary or geosynchronous systems such that the receiver is not trying to use satellites out of range of those systems. The example that comes to mind is the GPS (USA) geostationary SBAS. If you're in EU and using GPS, you don't want to use the satellites over the Americas, and vice-versa using Galileo (EU) in the Americas.
