Hi,

Before the update, everything was good and works well on my Nespi4 with PI4 4Go and the magnetic Hard Drive in the cartridge.

Then, I updated my PI4 with the last firmware and the last EEPROM and from this point, the Hard drive is not recognize by Linux.

Here the last release with the issue :

Raspberry Pi4 bootloader EEPROM release notes
2020-12-14 - Promote pieeprom-2020-12-11.bin to stable - STABLE

And here my tests :

  • Check with Last Raspberry PI OS : KO
  • Check with Last release of Recalbox 7.1.1 : KO
  • Check with an another SATA to USB controller (Verbatim) connected to the NEspi4 cartridge (same cartridge as before) and PI4 : OK
  • Check Nespi4 controller connected to my Windows 10 PC Desktop, I can browse the files in the cartridge : OK
  • Check with the firmware from Retroflag for special Boot from SSD (why not) : KO

Please, tell me you have a solution.

Best regards

Same, I can read my cartridge from my Ubuntu computer using SATA to USB cable. When inserted into NESPi 4 case it isn't recognized.
I tried to change to change the port the cartridge reader is connected to (by inverting facade USB and cartridge USB cables inside case, loosing btw USB3 and going back to USB2) and... my disk got recognized ! But only the disk, from Raspbian PoV there's no partitions on it while in fact there's a EXT4 one :/
