Describe the bug
On v186, it can't find any of the speed sensors on my motherboard and only shows my GPU sensors in the list. I downgraded back to v185 and it's working again.

Is there a log.txt file next to FanControl.exe with recent date entries?
No

If you take LibreHardwareMonitorLib.dll from your V185 install and put it ( replace ) in a V186 install, do you get your fans?

Hmm weird now it's working fine after updating again. However, this time I did manually save before restarting my computer. It seems that if you don't manually save after it updates then the config gets wiped or something (haven't done thorough testing to be sure on that though)

I've been having the same issue for a couple of versions now. FanControl fails to find sensors for CPU and System fans.

Everything always works in BIOS but I couldn't get most of the apps to show CPU temps or system fan RPMs. I tried adjusting the delay on startup but it had no correlation between working or not. Sometimes, FanControl started working after computer idled a bit.

I downloaded LibreHardwareMonitor separately and it shows everything as it should be when I open it. Yet FanControl sometimes still won't find the CPU temps. But it is the only thing that consistently "fixes" the issues - if I run LibreHardwareMonitor first and THEN FanControl, FanControl starts working.

True I have had to run a script to force restart fan control a bunch lately (that usually worked for me)
