Prerequisites

  • Write a descriptive title.
  • Make sure you are able to repro it on the latest version
  • Search the existing issues.

Steps to reproduce

The current matrix.json file has incorrect dates for Debian 10 and 11.

Expected behavior

The dates for a version should be the same for all Channels.

https://endoflife.date/debian has the following dates:

Release Released Security Support
11 (Bullseye) (Upcoming LTS) 10 months ago (14 Aug 2021) Ends in 4 years (15 Aug 2026)
10 (Buster) (LTS) 3 years ago (06 Jul 2019) Ends in 1 year and 11 months (01 Jun 2024)

Actual behavior

Channel OsVersion EndOfLife
------- --------- ---------
preview Debian 10 2023-12-15
stable Debian 10 2024-06-01
lts Debian 10 2024-06-01
preview Debian 11 2023-12-15
stable Debian 11 2024-11-30
lts Debian 11 2024-11-30

We have to EOL the image at the EARLIER of the our product end of life or the distribution end of life. This definitely does not result in consistency across channels.
