It would be nice to have PoESkillTree working under wine. .NET on linux has made lot's of progress in the last few years so it might be possible to have something native working. As for wine ... the instructions given in #226 don't seem to work anymore, and I don't know how to fix them.

While they have made a lot of progress, the UI library we use (WPF) will probably never be supported on Linux, even though it will be part of .NET Core 3.0. It depends on Windows specific APIs too much.

There are upcoming cross platform UI frameworks (e.g. AvaloniaUI), but changing the UI framework would be a major undertaking.

I have no idea about Wine or running stuff on Linux in general, so I can't help you on that. If someone reads this and is still able to run PoESkillTree on Linux, please chime in.

That thread is pretty much all we have. Like @brather1ng, we are using WPF which will probably never be fully supported. At one time there was a way to run an exe through a program to see where the flaws were. I am not sure that is still a thing (maybe that was for mono)
