Sensu-Plugins-aws - Using Packer - Not working

I am trying to install the sensu plugins for aws, using packer. The issue is, this plugin takes 45mins to an hour to install and packer (even though there is no timeout set in packer), does not install it and jumps to the end to shutdown/finalize the AMI.

A few points:

Min packer version set to 1.2.0
Other Sensu plugins installs just fine (http, windows, iis, vmstats etc

Any advise would be appreciated.
