The process to build your custom system consists of three main steps: 1) Get hardware and make sure they can interface with PLUS. PLUS tutorials will help you in this process. 2) Visualize and record data in 3D Slicer. 3D Slicer and SlicerIGT tutorials can help you in this step. 3) Analyze metrics using recorded data to compute quantitative skill metrics. This is where the Perk Tutor platform plays a role. It typically requires a few weeks/months of work from a technical person to make sure everything works, if you already have hardware ready (ultrasound + position tracker + training phantom).
