I would like to use my own application for personal purposes to control pancakebot.
I use Visual Studio C++.
I would like to communicate directly with the Pancake bot through Serial port or USB.
I need only simple commands such as move absolute, move relative, set velocity, stop.
What is the best way to do this?

Oh my, this is old. You just need to generate GCode and transfer it to the PancakeBot via the SD Card. To communicate via USB check out kreativperspektiv.com/pbfw that describes the steps you need to communicate to the controller.
