Possible for a preload cache ISO for PCSX2 nightly?

If this has 64bit (I don't know if it does or not), this should have an option to load the DVD to memory because playing PS2 DVD games presents lots of loading stutters and having to backup, swap, and delete ISOs on disk is way too tedious from me, I wouldn't mind waiting for a couple of minutes to load the entire 4.7GB ISO if it would stop the loading stutters.

Keep in mind that you need to have more RAM and can be a risk that if PC crashes you lose the preload stuff either way. If you really want avoid stuttering either go Internal HDD or even better Internal SSD with strong enough specs. Backuping, swapping and deleting ISOs is not normal behaviour for regular users anyhow.

If you still want this feature, just make a RAMDisk for it.

Is it possible to use RAMDISK to load straight from disk? I'm trying to avoid backing up in generally cause then I might as well make some space and avoid this in the first place.

RAMDisk already says what it does, you turn a part of your RAM as fake storage which you can label with a storage drive letter where you can put anything in it, then you just point to it. Keep in mind when you restart PC it gets cleaned as it's volatile memory and not permanent storage. Speedwise RAM is a ton faster than even SSDs, so I would be surprised you would have stuttering issues.

But yeah if you want an easy solution just put all the games, OS and PCSX2 on a good SSD and you don't even need to worry about preloading or RAMDisks but I have no idea if that's inside your budget atm or already have it or not.

Sorry I mean loading the DVD to RAMDisk, not Disk to RAM. Like popping in the DVD and automatically assigning the drive like its daemon tools virtual drive.

If you use the physical disc or the ISO mounted that's still possible for stuttering, I think you are getting confused on what stuff does what for what purpose. As far as I know Virtual mounted ISO, just tends to help with Audio CD related stuff, not really stuttering. I don't think it's even possible to put Physical Disc straight to RAMDisk.

It just sounds like you want to find a way to not pay for good stutterless experience and just are fiddling around to get it. Daemon tools purpose is mounting the virtual image file (same files on the disc) and tries to mimic the experience if you had put a physical disc inside a disc reader (which physical disc will be slower because is has to physicall spin and has moving parts unlike just the pure file, funnily enough) . In the end you still need a virtual image file like ISO on good storage (preferably SSD) and good specs.

Thanks for the help. I think I will just get a portable USB SSD and just backup my discs on there instead. I was hoping to find a way to avoid backups. TBH I only see this happening in all the Tony Hawk Games and GTA cause of the audio.
