I am testing installers for the latest releases. As part of this I tested Optikey Symbol, with the Communikate 20 pageset. It doesn't appear to have any speak button, or speak an utterance when you select it. Was this always the case? Is it intentional? The app still looks like the screenshot on the Optikey Symbol page, so it's been like this for a while.

Communikate has never had an in-built 'speak' button (Partly for portability and partly because when to speak feels like a setting of the client) - the normal model is that the client device handles 'when' utterances happen. I haven't yet ended up with a Windows machine to test out Optikey (I really should). Our own lightweight client includes a speech button next to the speech bar, and various controls for toggling 'speak each button press as they are pressed' and so on.
Okay, well Optikey has existing functionality to "Speak everything in speech bar" which would be trivial to add to your grids. The functionality to speak each button as they are pressed would have to be new. Is the communikate functionality in optikey considered unfinished then?
