Describe the bug:
Only time I to use OpenShot is when I want to merge multiple videoclips recorded on my Xiaomi smartphone. When I try to preview or export video of those merged clips there are often weird sound glitches right where one clip ends and another starts. It doesn't happen in Kdenlive so files are probably not damaged. Though I might add that when I was recording I usually stopped one and immedietally (like double-tap) started recording another of those clips (my phone camera crashed a few times when the recordings where longer than cca 30 mins, maybe due to some file size restrictions). I also found similar or same complaints on the internet like this one on Reddit.
As my files are cca 2.5 GB each I uploaded them to Google Drive

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. download my original video recordings from my Google Drive
  2. add video files to Project Files
  3. add them into a single Track
  4. preview or export the Project (Youtube Full HD profile)

Expected behavior:
A clear sound transition between clips (which rarely happened)

System Details:

  • Phone (Camera) Model: Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite
  • OpenShot Version: 3.1.1
  • Operating System: Windows 11

Hello @BlueScreenOfREKT I was able to replicate this issue in my Windows 11 Pro environment as well using the latest DEV Daily build of v3.1.1 (thank you for sharing your files).

The lead developer will have to look into this for a resolution.

However, I found a workaround for now. I used ShutterEncoder to convert these two files back to .mp4 again. After importing those two new converted files into OpenShot the sound glitch disappeared. You probably can use VLC or HandBrake as well to convert.

Let us know if after converting your file you had a positive experience as well.

@BlueScreenOfREKT Thanks for reporting this! These audio related issues are always a nightmare to track down, lol. But it's always useful when an issue is reproducable!
