The XDSM image at the top of page specifies the objective f differently than the code example (https://openmdao.org/newdocs/versions/latest/basic_user_guide/multidisciplinary_optimization/sellar.html#grouping-and-connecting-components).
XDSM: f = x^2 + z1 + y1 + e^(-y2) Code: f = x^2 + z2 + y1 + e^(-y2)
The code uses z[1] which is the second element of z which is z2.
