Use OLW Independently - without Blogger/WordPress/etc?

I've really enjoyed having OLW for so many years. Lately, myself and others here, are having trouble using OLW with WordPress or Blogger and not many still use LiveJournal. So... could OLW be used without having a blog site on any of those popular clients?

I no longer use WordPress at all. I still have Blogger and LiveJournal accounts but I'm not using them.

I would really like to use it to write a post formatted with plain HTML which I can then add to whatever software I'm using. If I did not have to set up a Blogger/WordPress site and could use OLW independently of them, that would be wonderful. It works great as a simple blog/ HTML editor. At times I just want a shortcut instead of typing in HTML and OLW has been perfect for that.
