Does free-domain can work only with 200 subdomains?
CloudFlare allows to use 200 records - https://community.cloudflare.com/t/dns-record-limit-2021/260534

Hi @Smert, thanks for pointing that out, I wasn't aware of those limits. The discussion you linked to mentions 1,000 records for the free plan and 3,500 for the pro plan.
I guess our options could be:

  • Move away from CloudFlare
  • Subscribe to the pro plan
  • Impose a check in the auto-merge Github Action to set a max number of records allowed per domain
  • Create other domains

Maybe a limit of 4 records? I haven't seen any domains with more.

From experience I know the limit is 1000 subdomains on free zones. However even the cheapest plan isnt to expensive. (Dont know how much money gets donated, but surely less than the costs for domains)
