Add an easier way of attaching a physical body to a projector.
This could be used to make a 3D model of the projector, and then add the projection characteristics as a child.
If the projector is parented to an object. duplicating the object would also duplicate the projector.

@gstorhaug thanks for the issue. Especially when planning projector setups it is really helpful to see how big the "body" of the projector is.
Since the projector is only a Blender camera, you can of course already add an object as a child.
The next step for me would be to be able to create a projector by entering some values (width, height, position of the lens ...). It would be even better if you could just select your projector from an online database and a box (or model) with the right size would be created and displayed for you.

p.s. As you have probably noticed, these issues will not move forward quickly. Unfortunately, my time is very limited right now.

My main problem with the current solution, is that even if I manually select the Projector.Spot child of a projector, it isn't duplicated when I press Alt-D.

No problem with the pace at which these issues move forward. I have a different (unmaintained) solution that works fine for now.
