[BUG][RFC] website_sale_search_fuzzy

There used to be a module server-tools.website_sale_search_fuzzy which solved this issue but hasn't been fw for a while now (it's stuck to version 10).
The workaround we were using was module base_search_fuzzy which introduced the % operator for postgres.
That kind of solved a multi-word keyword fuzzy search, we used % in search queries for a website search-bar.
But yesterday I discovered in #2530 that this module is considered "merged" already, even if its features were not ported entirely in main Odoo.

Are there any plans to recover the multi-word fuzzy search or is it already working and I am missing it?
