I'm setting up Priam for my cassandra data backup onto the AWS s3. Following (https://github.com/Netflix/Priam/wiki/Setup). Wanted to know third point i,e. why to Install Cassandra and web container (such as tomcat) on EC2 instances. Please guide me over this setup.

Priam does not ship with the Cassandra packages, as one version of priam can work with several Cassandra versions. Thus, in ec2 instances, you need to provide your own Cassandra version.
Web containers are required to run Priam itself.
