What I did so far -
Installed Trinus on Android
Ran "python3 main.py"
Expected - Show my ubuntu desktop on phone
Current result - I just have a black screen on phone.
Is is required to install SteamVR even if I just want this for desktop?

I used the fork mentioned here : https://www.cyborgcentral.net/?p=1478 and also changed from wayland to x11.
The screen is no longer blank.
But left eye and right eye don't have the same image, instead they each show half of the screen.
Doesn't the driver only work with Steam apps? As in: does it even generate frames for desktop? I've got it working with SteamVR and committed somewhat detailed installation instructions in this fork - maybe you'll find something that fixes your issue there. Installation should work the same on all distributions although I've only tested on Manjaro. I haven't hit that ffmpeg issue but I don't think it actually is one, it's rather a Canonical's quirk as they've decided to go with, amusingly, noncanonical path and didn't provide a symbolic link to address that.
