To improve aligning and odometry it would be meaningful to integrate RoadRunner's pose system with the detection of AprilTags if they prove useful. This will ensure backboard alignment can be performed without needing to see the target tag directly.
Alternatively a custom task may be written to try and align based on the three, but the most general solution is using these tags for global pose information.
