Hello, sorry for the late reply.

Try this version for M1 Mac:
https://github.com/MikeMorenoDSP/LIRA-8/releases/download/v1.0.8/LIRA-8-VST3-AUi-MacOS-M1.zip

Let me know if it works.

Same here, said «It’s not compatible» and following message:

_"validating Audio Unit LIRA-8 by PIGU:

I unlocked the *.component, also tried this: heckmann@MBP-M1-Heckmann ~ % xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/LIRA-8.component

Thanks for your help, I don't have an upgraded macOS to test this.

Have you tried loading the AU in another DAW like REAPER or Ableton?

Also, these are the only two guides I know for removing the quarantine, but I guess you already tried them.
https://www.reddit.com/r/MacOS/comments/dpue7j/2019_macbook_pro_running_catalina_unidentified/
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202491

LIRA-8 uses Camomile, and for the M1 release I'm using Camomile v1.08-beta 10 since Pierre stated the following on that release: "Improve camomile script to remove plugins from quarantine on macOS #280"

So in theory, that should work, but I checked the .plist from the component, and I've might have made a mistake while generating the plugin.

Can you try this version, see if it works?

I think I found a way around it, by turning off mac's Gatekeeper:
https://www.imore.com/how-open-apps-anywhere-macos-catalina-and-mojave

This guide provides a bit more detail on Apple's quarantine issues:
https://www.reddit.com/r/MacOS/comments/ge4v0w/help_with_vst_plugins_from_an_unidentified/

Also, Ableton might have some cache that prevents the plugin from loading after turning off mac's Gatekeeper.
Try to load the plugin in REAPER: https://www.reaper.fm/
After that, you might need to delete the plug-in, open & close Live, reinstall the plug-in, and open Live again.

If none of that works you might need to reset Live's preferences:
https://help.ableton.com/hc/en-us/articles/209070609-How-to-reset-Live-

Hopefully this works. Let me know.

Has anyone made this work with the M1 chip (Monterey)? I can get past the security issues and the Plugin shows in Ableton 11 start up Plugin scan but does not show in the Plugin selection menus.

Thanks

Hi.
I'm running macOS Ventura on a M1 laptop.
What I can confirm is that I've tried

sudo xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine LIRA-8.component

in /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components and that resulted in not much change.

LIRA8 does not show up in Ableton Live, Renoise or Logic Pro X.
When I try to use Logic Pro X's Plug-In Manager, I get the following error:

validating Audio Unit LIRA-8 by PIGU:

    AU Validation Tool
    Version: 1.10.0
Copyright 2003-2019, Apple Inc. All Rights Reserved.
Specify -h (-help) for command options

* * PASS
--------------------------------------------------
TESTING OPEN TIMES:
COLD:
FATAL ERROR: OpenAComponent: result: -1,0xFFFFFFFF

validation result: couldn’t be opened

I'm using the M1 build from gumroad. What should I try and do next? I'd prefer to keep to using AudioUnits only, to keep from fluctuating between "oh this song needs the VST" and "oh, this song from this other computer needs the AU".

Any ideas, @MikeMorenoDSP ?

p.s. when i got the "Couldn't be opened", i went and tried chmod +x LIRA-8.component but that didn't seem to have any effect either.
