English -> Spanish translator sometimes stops translating

When I paste the following input (from Moby Dick) into the English -> Spanish translator:

What do you see? Posted like silent sentinels all around the town, stand thousands upon thousands of mortal men fixed in ocean reveries.

the result is as follows:

¿Qué ves? Posted like silent sentinels all around the town, stand thousands on thousands of mortal men fixed in ocean reveries.

I did not find any other languages for which this passage is problematic, and I'm also having a hard time finding other examples of passages triggering this behavior. For instance, the passage

What do you see? The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog.

is fully translated into Spanish.

I found this bug too. The exact cause is quite elusive to me.

Take this sentence:
CC Committee: meets every day, each time hosted by a different person.

It is completely untranslated into Spanish:
CC Committee: meets every day, each time hosted by a different person.

However, if I remove one of the C's at the beginning, then the problem disappears:
C Committee: meets every day, each time hosted by a different person.

Translates to:
Comité C: se reúne todos los días, cada vez que recibe una persona diferente.
