Try disabling the alt_focus_hack configuration option; this option sends an ALT key whenever a focus change command is sent as a way to override the Windows focus-stealing measures, but it can cause issues if there is other keyboard mapping software also running at the same time (ahk, kanata etc) depending on how all the software interacts. The trade-off to disabling this option however, is that sometimes focus change commands may be rejected by the operating system.
