Digging into the HEX file I see some data is written to an area quite away from the bulk of the code:
so I assume it's this that the operating code modifies and needs to be 'reset' to make it use the custom MAC address |

I am planning to migrate to a Sonoff ZBDongle-P from a Electrolama zig-a-zig-ah! (zzh!) which I suspect may be faulty.
I have accidentally fully erased the ZBDongle-P, but I have a cJTAG programmer and have reinstalled the CC1352P2_CC2652P_launchpad_coordinator_20230507 firmware with no problems.
I have a question about the migration process described here:
https://www.zigbee2mqtt.io/guide/faq/#how-do-i-migrate-from-one-adapter-to-another
specifically the steps to copy the IEEE address described here:
https://www.zigbee2mqtt.io/guide/adapters/flashing/copy_ieeaddr.html
Because I erased the flash completely, the backdoor bootloader does not start when I hold down the boot button on power up; the bootloader does start when the flash is erased and I power up. But I don't need the bootloader anyway, because I can flash with my cJTAG programmer and I can also use Ti UniFlash to set the secondary IEEE address as per the instructions above. My question relates to this step in the process:
Reflash the firmware on your stick (this is important, otherwise the coordinator will not use the new ieee address)
I don't see how re-flashing after setting the secondary IEEE address would affect the code running in the adapter, but I assume the reason for this is to erase the
Customer Configuration (CCFG)
(apart from the custom MAC address) so that the adapter code recognises the 'first time boot' and uses the custom MAC instead of the factory programmed MAC- is that correct?Beta Was this translation helpful? Give feedback.
