Hello,
Good to see there is an R Kernel based on xeus and with support for widgets.
A couple of questions:

  • Is this kernel still active?
  • Is there any plan to handle debugging using the jupyterlab debugger https://github.com/jupyterlab/debugger ?
  • Any plan to support widgets (the example in the README doesn't work with new versions of Jupyter lab)?
    Thanks!

Hello!

The project has been inactive for a while, but I am coming back to it! I'm going to explore what the IRKernel folks have been up to as well. I still think JuniperKernel provides the best user experience.

I'll get back to you about the other features!

I would be very happy to see a feature full R kernel. Would you plan to support magics and debugger protocol too? If so, then I am happy to help.
