Does the problem happen in standalone melonDS?

I don't know.

What happened?

The cheats only work for less than a second after applying them.
They work, just not continuously.
It happens in every rom I've ever played.
The problem is also in melonds core, but in melonds android and dsemume core is no problem.
(I'm not sure melonds core or melonds application which "standalone melonds" is.)
Some similar reports from upstream issue:
melonDS-emu/melonDS#1405 was commented as fixed, probably for melonds application because in melonds core there is this problem.
libretro/melonDS#155 no commented.

What should've happened instead?

The cheats always work unless turned off.

I tried the action replay codes that unlock Shaymin and Arceus for Pokémon Platinum (U) and none of them worked.

I used the "Pokemon Platinum (U).cht" file with the correct rom so I guess cheats don't work as intended with this core which is unfortunate because it works so well beside this aspect.

P.S: yes, I even tried by loading the save file and then doing the required button hold presses+going inside the Pokémon Market and still nothing.
