Describe your suggested feature

When we go to browse and use global search it simply doesn't work, it doesn't display or show that we are searching.

  • I have searched the existing issues and this is a new ticket, NOT a duplicate or related to another open issue.
  • I have written a short but informative title.
  • If this is an request for a feature in the original Tachiyomi, I am opening because multiple versions of TachiyomiJ2K have been released without this feature.
  • If this is an issue with an extension, or a request for an extension, I should be opening an issue in the extensions repository.
  • I have updated the app to version 1.7.4.
  • I have checked through the app settings for my feature.
  • I have admitted that I am a clown by having checked this box, as I have not read these acknowledgements.
  • I will fill out all of the requested information in this form.

I'm having the same issue on the latest release. My guess was that it was an extension waiting too long for a response which was causing it to appear to halt. However I tried searching each ext. individually and I got a response for each in a reasonable timeframe. I don't have any other ideas.

Though why does this issue have the 'feature' label? It would be more appropriate for it to be 'bug' instead.
