[FEATURE REQUEST] Remove phone number compulsion on Discord server

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
I wish to seek help from the community but I refuse to give Discord my personal phone number. Or at least, set another way (IRC, discourse forum, Telegram groups etc.) to interact with the community.

Please remove the compulsion for sharing my phone number with Discord

Describe alternatives you've considered
There are none, I fail to find any IRC servers other forms of social media to interact with the community and seek help.
