I intend to give the current documents a general review, with specific attention to two related activities:

  • defining the relationship of the IDS Information Model to the dataspace protocol
  • understanding, in the context of the FDO One project of Mission KI, how dataspaces can be linked to FAIR Digital Objects.

@ssteinbuss I would like to do this review in a pull request. It seems that I don't have the permission to create a branch. What is the recommended way to do this, or could you grant me according permissions?

Hi @clange ,

could you please provide some additional details on your planned activity so that I can advise you better how to proceed?

I think the first item would be a good working stream in our current activities on RAM 5. Maybe we should do this revision and discussion there?

I have no context for the FDO One project, please provide some details.

Hi @ssteinbuss, first of all, I intend to read the whole Dataspace Protocol specification, in order to understand it. However, instead of just reading it, I could provide more value to the IDSA by suggesting non-breaking changes, such as improving clarity. These, I would suggest via a PR.

The background is

  • that I would like to resume work on the Information Model and thus need to understand how it relates to the DSP, and
  • that in the FDO One project (slides) we need to connect the DSP with protocols around FAIR Digital Objects
