Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
The parsing libraries are getting bigger and bigger and may be also super interesting for other projects.

Describe the solution you'd like
Extract the parsing functions with a nice API into a separate project where we can test it and compile it to a library.

We may want to use a clean logging solution like https://github.com/gabime/spdlog
