Overview:
I recently started using SystemTrayMenu on my work laptop to replace the functionality of Quick Launch. I plan on installing it on all my other systems and virtual machines which are running Windows 10 for consistency and ease of maintenance.

Description:
I have discovered an issue with using SystemTrayManu with multiple desktops. When multiple desktops are open, only one instance of it will run.

Given desktops A and B, SystemTrayMenu pinned to the taskbar, desktop A being the current desktop with a running instance of SystemTrayMenu (icon on taskbar is underlined).
Switch to desktop B and start SystemTrayMenu on the taskbar (click on it).
Switch to desktop A and find that SystemTrayMenu on the taskbar is no longer running (not underlined).

The "main" problem is the time for SystemTrayMenu to start (when clicked on in the taskbar) and that you need to click on it a second time for it to it display the root menu.

  • OS: Windows 11 Enterprise
  • Version: 21H2, OS build 22000.2538
