Description: Django-powered site, displaying charts and data about the tremendous Django community

Home

djangostats is a project designed to showcase the quality and activity of the Django community. In the few years since Django’s public launch, not only has the codebase expanded significantly, but a vast community has sprung up around it, offering such sites as djangosnippets, djangosites and djangopeople and a wealth of third-party applications.

The goal of djangostats is to gather data about some of the activity taking place on the Django codebase, its branches, the various third-party applications, the many community sites, and also the mailing lists and IRC channels. This data would then be combined, analyzed and aggregated, so that interesting visualizations can be presented to users to show off how active and impressive our community really is.

A variety of DataSources will be made available, using a number of DataProtocols, as well as a number of DataVisualizations.

Also, a long-term goal (if I can find a designer interested in putting it together) is to make our own version of the Feltron Annual Report, perhaps for distribution at DjangoCon or PyCon.
