Running android 11 on a Xperia 5 III.

Status Bar/ QuickSettings Management / Tile Per Row requires a SIM card! For settings to stay after reboot.! 6 tiles reverts back to default without carrier connected like verizon or tmobile, even with WIFI enabled and connected to the internet.

Fresh data wipe and reset, latest magisk and lsposed and GB installed.

  1. Tile setting "Status Bar/ QuickSettings Management / Tile Per Row" not sticking after restart.
This is from PiHole DNS requests accepted, local network wifi.

  1. Tiles settings working With this Status Bar/ QuickSettings Management / Tile Per Row
With this Status Bar/ QuickSettings Management / Tile Per Row still set at 6, they pop up with 6 to a row and 2 rows "as it should be when set"
This is from Adaway Root DNS requests, when is inserting my sim card in the tray and into the phone with WIFI off.

If I disable the SIM slot in the android settings and reboot with wifi on or off, With this Status Bar/ QuickSettings Management / Tile Per Row goes from the 6 tiles with 2 rows to 3 tiles and 2 rows. If I leave sim enabled and restart, "Status Bar/ QuickSettings Management / Tile Per Row" 6 tiles with 2 rows work.

I dug even deeper, disabled my PiHole, set everything through the router still same with 1) above.
I even disconnected a TAB I have from wifi and enabled hotspot off the TAB mobile data and connected the Xperia to with WIFI and it results as the same as 1) above.

If no network on the Xperia, SIM or WIFI off, set the rows to 6 and reboot, settings are 3 x 2, open GB set to defaults rows then back to 6, Status Bar/ QuickSettings Management / Tile Per Row goes to 6 x 2 but on restart it reverts back to 3 x 2 without SIM Carrier connected.

Also, if mtalk.google.com is blocked in pihole with (.|^)mtalk.google.com$ regex , this link has something to do with android settings, but if blocked, rows 6 gets broken back to 3.

Today I learned that google controls your android device settings from from the internet. "had all emergency alerts disabled without connecting to the net going through this rabbit hole of row tiles, as soon as I connected the sim card, the tiles are 6 x 2 but also my emergency alerts got enabled! and a bunch of popups showed up to enable dolby atmos, image quality settins etc, and damn who knows what else they do when connecting android through cell towers.
