Hello, Can I use 3.4.0a for a production site or better to use 3.3.16?
By the way, the CMS is brutal in terms of productivity.

Hello, But it seems that it is not official. I don't see that version for download at get-simple.info and neither from https://github.com/GetSimpleCMS/GetSimpleCMS

This is the same what 3.3.16 but with many fix for newest php 8, and with default version prebuild Massive Admin Theme with many feature. Not official, because from many month nothing changes with version, and people want use it on newest PHP.

Hello @oscarlosan
The 3.4x branch, as stated on the Get-Simple site is "BETA Development Version (not stable)", therefor I would not recommend it for production use.
Both it and the 3.3.16 version were last updated about four years ago, and the original team has, unfortunately, had to step away from the project, with no word as to when they will be returning.
Therefor a new branch was stared, as mentioned above, to provide needed updates to run on more recent versions of PHP and keep the project alive.
This "Community Edition" uses the same base code as the 3.316 version, but with added bug fixes, security updates and modernization in both its interface as well as PHP compatibility.
As well as a slew of new and updated plugins.
You can check out some of the updates in the readme section here.
