This might be more of a jbrowse issue so please move it there if that makes more sense.

When loading a track with an unknown track type, jbrowse crashes and I have to reload. Yes, my fault for sending data to an apollo which didn't have my plugin compiled in, but, could be nice to show an in-track error like is more normal?

This is definitely more JBrowse. Not sure how Apollo could handle it differently as it doesn't know what it doesn't have.

Any chance you can transfer it to jbrowse then?

I think it's true that it crashes the app. If you happen to have a chance to find a fix let me know. It's possible it's pretty far in the guts of the machine though
