Spinoff of #68, which references an initial implementation by lfrancke.

Idea for evaluation as performance optimization: change UnenclosedJsonRecordReader to a byte-based implementation rather than character-based. Avoid copying data. Make sure it works correctly in the case of multi-byte characters.
