Importing Step files not working under linux #423

I get the following error

Unable to (re)mesh: no input data or mesh generator (please make sure that your input file suffix is in lower case)

I am not the only one:

Steps to reproduce:

Install ElmerFem the Ubuntu binary/ or compile the git repo using the aur
Try creating a new project and import a step file as geometry
Error while meshing
